This is a 2 volume set of books, finely bound in ornate coverings with gold gilt on all 3 page ends. Nicely marbled endpapers, lots of illustrations in full page color plates, B&W plates, in-line drawings, etc. 913 pages.

This set is absolutely wonderful ! Each volume is richly tooled and embossed, with elaborately blind stamped medallions on the front boards. Gilt designwork and printing on the spines with mason symbols and the all seeing eye. The front boards are bordered by a richly done colored stamped embossing of masonic symbols.
This Set is in very fine, almost MINT condition, with only minimal wear. All pages and plates are present, no cracking- nothing is loose or coming loose, a very solid, highly presentable set!!
This is a rare find in such excellent condition......Here is your chance to own an authentic piece of literary history at a reasonable price. These books are an excellent investment as market prices continue to go up and these books are sure to keep appreciating in value. Get them while you can!!!
The page ends are in full gilt on all three sides, the bindings are strong, the pages are crisp and bright with no writing, marking or tears. The full color plates are bright and intact, only minor shelfwear to the top and bottom of spines but NO tears or rips. There is NO writing or marking anywhere in this set!!!!!! Volume one has a tiny chip out of the spine at the extreme lower corner edge. Volume two has one rubbed corner on the bottom fore-edge and a tiny pinhole on the rear cover.
The corners are straight and true, no "leaning" to spines, no bumping (one corner rubbed) or rubbing, no foxing on pages, simply a SUPERB set. Volume 1 has a few pages with very faint watermarks on the extreme outer edge or forend.
Each Book is a whopping 10-1/2" tall by 7-1/2" wide by 2" thick !! They are very heavy and the boards are thick and heavy, made to last for generations to come. There is a total of 913 pages !!
