This is a fine, old Aiwon saddlebit billiard Model No. 089S "Filter Pipe" made in "France" of "Algerian Briar" by La Bruyere.

La Bruyere made this brand from 1925 until it was merged with Chapuis-Comoy in 1932.

This pipe was definitely made for the European market and accepts one of the larger filters preferred on the Continent. I do not have any to include with the pipe, but it can be smoked with or without the filter.

The mouthpiece on this fine old pipe has only a hint of some teeth abrasions but I do not grind down mouthpieces and destroy their structural integrity.

The pipe has been smoked, but restored quite well. The air channel through the shank and into the bowl has been hand rebored to a precise 4mm.

This pipe has been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. I use nothing but non-toxic, biodegradable products in refurbishing old pipes.

It is 5-3/8 inches long. The inside diameter of the tobacco chamber is 13/16 of an inch. The height of the bowl is 1-3/4 inches.
