Offered is an outrageous and fabulous Wilkinson Poppy leaded glass lamp. Design is a vining poppy on a fence with 8 floral pair and 4 buds with bright red ends. If you like large Art Nouveau floral shades this lamp is for you. Shade has a variety of high quality stained slag glass. Each poppy pair has one flower in opaque glass and the other translucent. The translucent flower picks up light extremely well and just jumps out in low light situations. The flower centers are an interesting dark purplish glass with a bright green center. The green leaves are a mixture of darker and lighter green leaves with light green stems. Shade is in excellent original condition with no repairs. There are 5 or fewer pieces with single cracks and all of these are small pieces. No breaks in the large pieces nor is there any shattered glass or glass with multiple breaks. Nice original dark bronze patina.

Original Wilkinson base has an attractive bronze patina and complements the shade quite well. There are three Hubbell sockets with long acorn tipped pulls that work smoothly. Lamp is in working condition and has been rewired at some point with a brown plastic cord. I can supply a length of bronze colored cloth wiring if you desire to rewire yourself. Shade rest and finial are both Wilkinson but have more green in their original patina than is in the base and shade. Neither base or shade are signed but are guaranteed Wilkinson.

For reference the highest auctioning Wilkinson poppy was $9000.

Lamp stands slightly over 27" tall with a 9" diameter foot. Shade is approximately 20 1/4" at the widest and 8 3/4" deep.

Lamp will be shipped in two packages by UPS ground. The shade will be professionally packed including double boxing and the base will be securely packaged to prevent damage. Shipping is high because of the large size outer box required.
