This face jug falls into the same catagory as a Toby mug. If you like those, you'll love this fellow. His features are great and very distinctive. It looks as if his mouth is open, but not quite. He was made by one of the potters at Greenfield Village, part of The Henry Ford Museum. The Village is very like Williamsburg with many historical buildings, etc. In the craft area a visitor can watch pottery , textiles, glass, candles, etc being made by the skilled persons on site. Watch and purchase! The jug is made of red clay and is in mint condition.
