Fair Trade Guatemalan cotton scarf,shawl, purpl. & blue

The San Antonio Scarf/Shawl is made from vibrant cottons

and are footloom wovenin the San Antonio region of Guatemala.

San Antonio is known for its colorful traditional costume.

Traditionally, men were the only ones to operate a footloom

 but these scarves are made by both men and women.

The fringe is hand tied and the scarf/shawl is made with first quality thread.  

It measures 12 inches wide and 62 inches long.

 Maya Traditions is a fair-trade producer and wholesale business based in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala.  For more than ten years Maya Traditions has worked with indigenous weavers in the highlands of Guatemala. Its mission is to support weaving groups and small family businesses through providing consistent income, as well as health and education projects.

Payment is EXPECTED no later than 7 days after the end of a sale.

All packages will be mailed no later than 2 working days after payment for your purchase (not counting holidays). I use the U.S Postal service for nearly all shipments.

Many of the boxes and all of the filler used to pack your item will be from recycled materials. PLEASE reuse or recycle the boxes and filler you receive. Your local shipping centers gladly accept foam peanuts and similar packing filler.
