NEW Fair Trade, Hand Made Birds-in-tree Vase, Pottery






 

 

This beautiful vase features 5 birds in a tree,

was hand made in San Juan de Oriento, Nicaragua

 

The village in known for its intricate and unique designs.

This vase in a textured, relief design and was inspired by traditional pre-Columbian

art and the natural environment, as well as outside influences.

The birds represented are of 4 different species, including a hummingbird.

The bottom is signed by the artist.

 

This vase is hand-thrown & etched, colored with mineral oxides, and fired in a brick kiln.

It measures 17" round at it's widest point, 6" high & 3" round at the opening

 

Add your lovely flower arrangement to enhance the beauty of this pottery even further!

Use a saucer underneath if adding water to the vase, as it is slightly porous.

 

This vase is imported through a Fair Trade cooperative participating

with 'One World Projects' and 'A Different Approach'
