The FairyGlow Gallery Presents.........."Sida".......... A new one of a kind mermaid, hand sculpted from polymer clay.  Tiny Sida (Greek : "water lily") is a delicate little water fairy, measuring just 4 inches long by 2 1/2 inches high.   If standing, she would be approximately 4 1/2 inches tall.  The display is a pretty faux water plant sitting in a tiny vase.  The entire display, including the mermaid  measures approximately 5 inches high by 7 1/2 inches wide.  Her pale little upper body was blushed before curing for a permanent and natural skin color.  Beautiful blue eyes, other facial features and lower body were hand painted with permanent heat set paint.  Pretty translucent tail fin and side fins are "mixed media", dusted with ultra fine glitter, which give them a beautiful shimmering effect.  To finish my little mermaid, I added long blonde hair made from Tibetan lambs wool, adorned with tiny micro bubbles and glitter.
