Up for auction is a "Mint" 2008 Fender American Standard Stratocaster HSS! Included is a Fender Hardshell case! This guitar has been played very little!

Icon. Not a word to be used lightly. But the Stratocaster is just that. The new American Standard Stratocaster guitars are beauties to behold in sound, look and feel. Fender kept the hand-rolled fingerboard edges, alnico V pickups and staggered tuning machines for playability, tone and stability, and added several new features, including:

New American Standard Strat® Bridge - A new bridge with improved bent-steel saddles and a copper-infused high-mass block for increased resonance and sustain.

New Neck Gloss and Tint - Seemingly a small or less important feature, is actually a major feature. The old necks were satin all over primarily for the feel of the back of the neck. On the new American Standards, Fender® kept the satin neck back, but gave the rich tint and luster of a gloss finish to the front. When looking at the old and new in a side by side comparison, there is no arguing that the new necks look classier, more detailed and ‘finished’.

New Thinner Body Undercoat - An undercoat serves to give the paint a smooth surface to adhere to so you have a nice looking finish. The thicker the undercoat, the more glass-like the finish, but the more constricted the guitar's body wood, which could affect tone. Fender® switched to a new undercoat that is thinner, and that allows the body to flex and resonate more, while retaining the cosmetic advantages of an undercoat.

This used guitar looks as good as it sounds. It is in Mint Condition and comes with a Fender® Hard Case.
