This is a wonderful piece of FENTON glass in the BLUE CARNIVAL with the ORANGE TREE design.  I beleive that this is one of the earliest Blue Carnival pieces made in the early 1900's (1911?).

The ROUND COVERED BUTTER DISH measures 6 1/2" in height by 7 1/2" in diameter at the widest portion of the dish.  The colors in this piece are beautiful.  The knob on the top of the piece is the COBALT BLUE color which was typical of the early pieces. 

This ORANGE TREE design is a deep mold---very nice!

Condition of the butter dish is very good with no chips, cracks, or repairs.  Please note that the base is footed with one of the four feet NOT being level with the surface it sets on.  I have tried to show this in a close up picture.  This is the only imperfection that I see with this wonderful old piece.
