Jack Hirschman has been called one of the best living poets in America. He was the fourth Poet Laureate of the City of San Francisco. Lawrence Ferlinghetti was the first Poet Laureate. Hirschman is one of the most committed and international poets involved politically and with social issues such as homelessness. He was close to the Beats especially Allen Ginsberg, Bob Kaufman and Gregory Corso. It's a rare occasion to have the signature of both men in one book. This may be the only book in existence with their signatures.
