Documents the opening of California State Highway 101 in 1929 Film of the dedication of California State Highway 101 at San Francisco, with some 50,000 individual watching a parade of automobiles from San Francisco Civic Center; Footage includes scenes of then Mayor of San Francisco James "Sunny Jim" Rolph; Mayor Taylor of San Mateo; San Francisco county supervisors; additional scenes include footage of the highway from the air and of airplanes arriving with various dignitaries.
