Final Fantasy VII, Black Label Edition: Disc 1: 3.5/5 Disc 2: 3.5/5 -- This disc appears to have been professionally resurfaced, works great, some light residual markings can still be seen to the optical surface. Disc 3: 3.7/5 Manual: ABSENT Case & Artwork: 4.4/5 -- While the case is in superb condition and holds all discs firmly in place, the artwork does have a line of black marker across the barcode (back artwork; not seen in picture). Official BradyGame Strategy Guide: 4.3/5 -- The binding shows some wear that only effects the first couple of pages. To this end, it would appear that a previous owner has reinforced the outside of the binding with a single piece of packaging tape. The inner pages are in excellent condition, and the cover shows only minor shelf-wear.
Final Fantasy VIII, Black Label Edition: Disc 1: 3.9/5 Disc 2: 3.6/5 Disc 3: 3.7/5 Disc 4: 4.2/5 Manual: ABSENT Mini Walkthrough: ABSENT Case & Artwork: 4.4/5 -- While the case is in superb condition and holds all discs firmly in place, the artwork does appear to have some minor warping. Official BradyGame Strategy Guide: 4.6/5 -- With the exception of some minor discoloration to the front cover, this guide is in superb condition. The binding is tight and the pages are crisp.
Final Fantasy IX, Black Label Edition: Disc 1: 4.8/5 Disc 2: 3.8/5 Disc 3: 4.2/5 Disc 4: 4.8/5 Manual: ABSENT Play Online Booklet: ABSENT Case & Artwork: 4.6/5 -- While the case holds all discs firmly in place, the exterior does show some minor scuffing. Official BradyGame Strategy Guide: 4.4/5 -- With the exception of a couple full-length creases to the front cover of this guide, it is in excellent condition. The binding is tight, and the pages show minimal signs of use. While the supportive website listed in this guide is no longer operative, it does still exist in cyberspace. I will send the winning bidder a link to the new website that the information was moved to, so that this guide retains full functionality. -- Just recently, a web update by Square-Enix has left even this new page non-functioning. I have sent messages inquiring of both BradyGames and Square-Enix requesting details on when this site will be functional again, but as yet have no solid time-line.

Description |
|
The RPG genre was never really considered a mainstream or popular genre -- that is, until the release of Final Fantasy VII on PlayStation. With Final Fantsy VII's historic release on PlayStation in June of 1997, role-playing games were finally given the respect that they deserved and the RPG genre is now one of the most significant and defining on the system. Following the story of Cloud Strife, gamers were taking on a fantastical journey that encompassed three CDs and over 40 hours worth of gameplay. The game continued the trend of using the series' staple turn-based battle system, complete with melee and elaborate magic attacks. |

Description |
|
Ninth installment in the long-running roleplaying series and the third for the Sony PlayStation. The game signals a brief return to some of the visual designs, gameplay elements and overall spirit of the 16-bit Final Fantasy games of the '90s. Monster encounters happen randomly, battles are turn-based, and the system of ability development follows the same line of descent from FFVI as the other PlayStation FFs. In this case, you acquire abilities from the items you equip, attaching those abilities to your character by way of a set of Blue Crystal slots, which you gain as you increase in level, and eventually getting to keep those abilities independently of the associated equipment. Character design by Yoshitaka Amano. |
