Finished Cross Stitch, MERRY COX, SWAN LAKE MENDING BAG

Description: FINISHED CROSS STITCH SWAN LAKE MENDING BAG DESIGNED BY MERRY COX I'm back after a very long absence, but I'm happy to report that while I was gone I became a grandma to a beautiful baby boy.  I was blessed to be able to spend the first 2 months of his life with him and giving mommy and daddy a hand.  I enjoyed lots of cuddle time before it was time to head home and back to work stitching some wonderful little treasures..... Up for your bidding pleasure is this absolutely gorgeous mending bag.  The design is by Merry Cox and is titled "Swan Lake Mending Bag".  This wonderful set comes complete with the little main tote that features lovely stitched scenes  on both sides of the bag.  The middle of the tote has a drawsting bag that can be used to hold all your stitching accessories.  On the one flap of the tote it has a stitched needle holder and on the other flap there is a double pocket that can hold a needlethreader or any other small item.  Other accessories that come with the set include a little button bag, a scissor fob (scissors not included) and a threadwinder and ruler holder.  I have also created my own version of the treadwinder and ruler, they are not scrimshaws but they will work just as well and I'm really quite happy with how they turned out.  The tote has been lined with a lovely red toile fabric that goes beautifuly with the stitched design.  All the stitching has been stitched 1 over 1 using an overdyed thread on a 28 count antique white evenweave fabric.  I really can't say enough about this wonderful little tote, it really is a great design.  This is the ultimate little stitching bag, What great way to hold all your little stitching needs when you are at a stitch along or stitchers retreat, keeps everything all together.  And if you don't do stitch alongs it is still a great place to hold all your little stitching accessories.
