This is a BRAND NEW MIB 1931 Seagrave Combination Pumper. The finish and detail are tremendous. This is truly like stepping into the past to a time of small rural Fire Engines speeding with volunteers holding on tight into the night.
The Sound Beach Volunteer Fire Department of Old Greenwich, CT acquired this pumper in July 1931 for $13,000 from the Seagrave Fire Apparatus Co. Unlike the Dept. engines before it, Engine 3 contained a booster tank which for the first time carried water instead of chemicals. It remained in service until 1964, when it was sold to a collector in Clarion, Pa. The engine was reacquired by SBVFD firefighters in 1979 for $5,000, and a six-year refurbishing followed. This finely-crafted replica has captured all the details - right down to the clam shell decorations on the engine hood covers. Take a good look at the detail in the picture. You won't be disappointed. This is a METAL Die-Cast item with minimal plastic. Don't be fooled by the price. This is without a doubt the BEST VALUE in the Die-Cast Fire Industry today. This would make a Great Gift. Original M.S.R.P. was $29.98. Ohio residents pay 6.75% tax. Insurance is Now Included in Domestic S & H fees. I combine shipping on multiple items to save you money.
