April 18, 1960
Dear Bob:
This is one of the infrequently issued three-color stamps which stresses the importance of our most precious and most limited natural resource...water conservation.
It comes to you from Washington, D.C., and the drop of water falling from a leaf which is on the left side of the stamp symbolizes watershed influence on water supply.
Speaking of influences, our staitons have been among the greatest influences for community good and welfare in this area. Whether it is water conservation, fire prevention, civil defense or community charity, you will find WHIO and WHIO-TV in the forefront of public information.
Whether it is our government which requires dissemination of information regarding our dwindling water supply...or whetehr it is a small group of public-spirited citizens who want to give voice to their sincere causes...we are the first to help.
Please let us know whenever we may be of service to you.
Sincerely,
Robert H. Moody
General Manager
