Presenting a North Beach Treasures "Treasure Chest" item:
What is the "Treasure Chest?" It's a "showcase" of some of the very best glass I find each year. Items listed in "Treasure Chest" are chosen for a combination of superb quality, unusual size for their color and overall rarity. These pieces of sea glass are "the Best of the Best," so to speak, representing maybe 1/10th of one percent of all pieces I find.
Offered here:
A large and perfectly flawless piece of scarce TEAL GREEN sea glass, hand picked from a remote beach in the Pacific Northwest.
Teal green is NOT like the common "Heineken green" (or kelly green) which is plentiful on the beaches of the world. This color-- which is a deep bluish green-- usually comes from early 1900s liquor and wine bottles. It is typically a very "hard" type of glass, and was somewhat crudely made, as a result of which pieces are often chipped and have uneven frosting.
This is a superb piece in all respects: It is one of the largest pieces I have found in this color, it has a nice even shape, and has UNCOMMONLY nice even frosting for this color.
Condition: A+ flawless even frosting, perfectly rounded edges, all sides smooth. Gently curved shape, from the side of a bottle. Size: About 1 1/4" (31mm) long by almost 3/4" (19mm) across at widest by just about 1/4" (6mm) thick, at thickest. Rarity: Teal is what I'd call "uncommon," but with the perfect condition and larger size this would be considered a "gem," certainly in the top 1/10th of one percent in this color. Treasure Chest comments: I chose to feature this piece here because of the combination of size, attractive shape and perfect frosting-- Teal often has little condition problems, so this is a worthy piece for any sea glass collection.

Thank you for looking at items in my eBay store!
If you like what you see, please sign up for the "Store Newsletter" (bottom of left column) to receive periodic information about new items.
I do combine shipping if you buy multiple lots, and I also will combine store and auction purchases if made within a week of each other. Note low shipping costs-- most lots ship via USPS first class mail to save expenses. $5.00 to ship and "handle" a single little piece of glass by Priority Mail strikes me as a bit extravagant. Priority Mail is used for bulkier and heavier items.
Note: All glass I offer for sale on eBay is from my personal collection, and is "natural," as found by me on various local and regional beaches. I do not tumble, treat, oil or otherwise "improve" the glass I sell-- what you see is what you get. I have been a seaglass collector for about 40 years-- since I was six years old. For more information, please see the additional store pages (links at left) about grading, as well as my "About Me" page, or my eBay "My World" profile and blog pages.
