The "Flowers of History," also known as "Flores Historiarum," is a chronicle of English history written at both St. Albans and Westminster Abbey. The author, Matthew of Westminster, is now thought to be various individuals including Matthew Paris, Roger of Wendover, and many other catholic writers of repute.

Volume I [1] (B.C. 4004 to A.D. 1066): viii + 566 pages; Volume II [2] (From A.D. 1066 to A.D. 1307): viii + 604 pages. Both volumes bound in black cloth with gilt lettering on spines. Hinges are strong. The textblocks are tight and square, and the pages, aside from library markings, are clean and intact. Slight edgewear. Ex-library.
