Recreational Flying Trapeze <!--[if !vml]--><!--[endif]-->

Since its invention by Jules Leotard, flying trapeze has been inaccessible to anyone but trained professionals.  We're changing that here at the ESPAÑA/STREB TRAPEZE ACADEMY where everyone can experience the thrill of flying.  We have classes for beginners & experienced flyers, and for kids ages 4 through 84.  So, if you're a thrill seeker or if you just want to overcome your fear of heights, Flying Trapeze is for you!

2-Hours Classes

All participants are evaluated individually, and are taught at their own pace by our trained instructors.  For more experienced flyers, the ESPAÑA/STREB TRAPEZE ACADEMY allows you to work more intensively on specific tricks – to master the ones you know, and learn the ones you dream of doing.  Our team of instructors can help you achieve your individual goals by giving you tips and techniques to improve your form & personal style.  ALL CLASSES (2 HOURS) ARE CONDUCTED AT OUR SPACE AT 51 NORTH 1ST STREET, BROOKLYN, NY 11211.

Safety <!--[if !vml]--><!--[endif]-->

Due to the extreme nature of flying trapeze, safety is our number one priority.  In our classes, everyone wears a safety harness attached to safety lines and flies over a huge foam mat.  Not leaving anything to question, our instructors demonstrate & guide each student through the different techniques that allow you to fly on the trapeze.  Onwards & upwards, you will learn new tricks as you progress!  One instructor will help you on the platform, and another will hold your safety lines from the ground.  When you are ready, we will introduce you to a third instructor who will catch you mid-air!

Reservations

All classes two hours long & are limited to 10 participants (with a 5 person minimum).  We strongly suggest you purchase your class online to secure your spot.

If, for some reason, you cannot make it to your class, please let us know as soon as possible so another participant can take your place.  We enforce a 36 hours cancellation policy (see “Cancellation Policy” below).  Please come at least 15 minutes prior to your class time to warm up & stretch properly.

Clothing

Please wear comfortable clothing (soft, stretchy pants and a snug fitting T-shirt, or tank top).  No shorts, jeans, jewelry or hairpieces should be worn.  Please tie long hair back with a hair band.

Waivers

To participate in one of our classes, you must sign a waiver.  Students need only sign our waiver once per calendar year.  Students 17 years of age or younger must have a waiver signed by their parent or legal guardian before they will be allowed to participate in the class.  Please call us if you have any questions.  If you are signing up a group of children, please bring signed waivers for each child.

Cancellation Policy

If you have signed up for a spot in a group class & wish to cancel, you must notify the Espana/Streb Trapeze Academy at least 36 hours prior to the class start time in order to receive a full refund.  You may transfer your registration to another person if you submit your request in advance & receive authorization.  You'll receive confirmation of your cancellation and/or registration transfer by email or phone.  If you cancel your spot less than 36 hours before the class’s start time, then the fee is non-refundable.
