FOLK ART CHARM TO THE MAX !!!

This is a wonderful CRAZY QUILT dated 1890-1913 with makers name at center Eva M Woodard - near a fabulous embroidered flower.

THE DETAILS ARE ALL HAND EMBROIDERED ONTO THIS QUILT AND ARE CHARMING - FOLKY AND WONDERFUL !!!

SIZE: 79 inches by 79 inches

There are farm animals such as a pig, rooster, dog, chickens, cats, ducks, squirrels, a parakeet, frog, woodpeckers, owl, cow and many more added embroidered items including spiders, wagon wheels, bugs, webs, flowers and more !

This quilt is a mixture of materials, mostly wools and heavy cottons with some silks mixed in. The backing is all the same plaid type fabric.

Condition: over all very good - there are three small silks that are nearly gone (as seen in image - all close to each other).  There are a few minor little holes and a few minor little tears - - nothing has been repaired on this quilt and it is in over all 98% great shape !!!

Doesn't smell, appears to have an old if not original surface patina (I dont think it has been washed and frankly doesn't need to be.

Found in an estate here in the Ohio / Michigan border city of Toledo.
