Folk Art Green Angel















Here is a wonderful green folk art Christmas Angel ornament. She could be hung year round as well as for Christmas. She is made from muslin that has been firmly stuffed, then sculpted features in paperclay. I have needle sculpted her soft green hair in fancy yarn. She is wearing a crown made from cardstock and Christmas sheet music. I have added some glitter, a gold bow and antiqued it. Her collar is vintage family lace from great grandma Molly and some antique gold tulle. Underneath I have added a large hand made button with more of the Christmas sheet music. She has been painted with acrylics and given a soft aged look with pink cheeks and nose so as to look like she has been out in the cold. She has been sealed several times in a satin finish. She has green glitter eye shadow and black paper eyelashes. She hangs from a golden cord. She would make a wonderful addition to anyone’s Angel collection or just as a beautiful Christmas decoration. She measures seven inches high from bottom to the top of her crown and ten inches across, quite a large ornament.
