Offered in this sale is a wonderful, heavy, mold blown, cranberry glass kerosene oil lamp with an applied foot that dates to the late 1800s. It measures 18" tall to the top of the chimney 6 1/2" to the top of the collar and is 6 1/2" in diameter at its widest. The diameter across the applied base is 5 1/8". It weighs roughly 4 1/4 pounds. The body is molded with 16 thick vertical ribs. It has a large ground polished pontil on the underside of the applied base. Each of the turn knobs on the brass burner is marked IMPROVED DUPLEX. The chimney is molded with a diamond quilted pattern. The condition of the lamp and the burner is excellent. There are no chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines or evidence of grinding. THE CHIMNEY has a chip and short hairline off the upper rim which you can see in the 7th image. This is a great early lamp. Please feel free to email with any questions.
