Description
Vehicle Description

'Gutshaker'

One of a kind! -- There is no other!

This is a hotrod - not a rat rod!

Offered here is a very unique and unusual hotrod created and fabricated by long-time rod builder and pinstriper, Jess 'Pop' Allred.  I built this rod for my son, but he has other interests of the two-wheel variety, so it is for sale so that I can create another fun toy, this time for myself.

The cowl, windshield and doors resemble the 'T', but that is where Henry's creation starts and ends.  Every piece on this rod was modified in some fashion to accomplish the final frame-up build.  I have attempted to list everything, but it is possible that I have overlooked minor details - there is simply too much good stuff to remember it all - so please ask any questions by calling me at 406-370-4090 or 419-632-7519.  Remember, this is a rod, and it looks, runs and drives like a rod, albeit a very nice one.  The cab is small - like Henry intended - however I am six feet tall and I do OK in it.  But, with more than a driver and guest, all you see is skin and hair on the windows.

Model 'A' frame rails are mated to a Corvette rear clip.  Mustang II IFS guides the Chevy 338 c.i. HP327, which is backed by a TH350, which turns a Vette third member.  The chassis rides on original American mags and Avenger skins.

The attached detail specifies fabrication requirements, specs, and components.  I have all receipts and progress photos to support the build, and copies can be made available to the buyer.

This rod was recently completed, and as a result it has only been on a short two-mile shakedown run.  Because I have been severely burned by irresponsible and/or incompetent drivers, there will be no test drives beyond my driveway.  This rod runs great, and all components work correctly.

Please don't let the reserve price keep you from bidding, because the reserve is well below what I have invested in this project.  Bid, make a reasonable cash offer, or propose a trade.  I will give your proposal serious consideration.

The rod is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time, but I will alert any bidder prior to it ending, in the spirit of fairness to you.  It is being sold 'As Is', without warranty expressed or implied.  Sale is final without refund or return.

Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping, and for any costs the seller may incurr in the process.  However, I will assist in making the transition go smoothly - just communicate with me.

The vehicle will be released and title signed and presented only after payment in full has been received and verified.  If payment in full is not made and received within the required time, it will be the seller's option to refund any purchase deposit.

Now, for the fun stuff.
