1983 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 Pickup Truck (#1064)

Up for bid is a 1983 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 Pickup Truck. This vehicle was a drug seized vehicle that our Parks and Recreation department has used since 1990. The odometer is broken - the mileage shows as 89,533. The radio has one working speaker and the air conditioner does not work. Other than that the mechanical condition of the vehicle is good and was serviced by the city's fleet department (ASE Certified). 

This auction is being offered "AS-IS", so please ask any questions, or visit the vehicle on location before bidding. Any questions about this vehicle need to be asked via the "ask a seller question" on eBay.

This auction is for eBay bidders in the United States ONLY. Per our Purchasing Agent, we cannot sell / title a vehicle outside the Unites States.

Prospective bidders can view the vehicle between the hours of 7 am - 3 pm, Monday-Friday at:

Winning bidder has 7 days from the end of auction to pay for and pick up the vehicle. Acceptable forms of payment for this auction are:

Credit Card (Visa / MasterCard) onsite

Once payment has been received, winning bidder will receive the notarized title, and will be able to take the vehicle.

Winning bidders who plan on sending a 3rd party to pick up the vehicle need to mail us the following information to:

  • A notarized letter stating the full name of the person (or shipping company’s name and telephone number) authorized by the winning bidder to pick up the vehicle.  A valid photo ID will be required to release the vehicle to an authorized person (ex. employee, relative, etc.)
  • A photocopy of the buyer’s driver’s license, showing the name and address of the person who will be listed as the buyer on the title.

Winning bidder is solely responsible for the transport of the vehicle off of city property.  Pick up hours are Monday – Friday, 9am to 3pm.  We cannot schedule outside of these hours.

Yes, the 4 wheele drive works. We cannot store the vehicle for a month due to liability. You could make arrangements for a 3rd party to pick the vehicle...more

Yes, the truck is driveable, the engine will probably need a tuneup, no problems were noted on the transmission and we have the title.

Yes, the truck runs and drives, it is road worthy but as stated earlier I would not drive it to Indianna and we have the title.
