This is a very unusual fossil sharks tooth from a site in South Carolina. It is from the fossil Cat Shark, Megascyliorhinus sp. It is in great shape & is very well preserved. This should make a great specimen for research or a collection. The tooth measures approx. 1/8" (3mm) in lateral length. The winning bidder will receive the exact fossil pictured! It was found in Oligocene age deposits, in the Chandler Bridge Formation, near Goose Creek, South Carolina. The site was in a subdivision known as "The Hamlets". Thanks for looking & good luck. |
