This is a nice quality Archeocent (Squalodont Whale) tooth from a site in South Carolina. The condition is excellent, with excellent solid preservation & a nice glossy tip with a bit of natural feeding wear. This should make a great specimen for research or a collection. The piece measures 3/4" (20mm) in length. The winning bidder will receive the exact fossil pictured! It was found in Oligocene age deposits, in the Chandler Bridge Formation, near Goose Creek, South Carolina. The site was in a subdivision known as "The Hamlets". Thanks for looking & good luck. |
