This is a SUPERB Fox Renard Model 220 professional bassoon. Fox is the best American maker of bassoons and oboes, and the 220 is one of their flagship models for the Renard line. Fox's manufacturing is excellent. Intonation is very good, action feels good, and these bassoons sound good enough to play in any setting you play in-from student to professional ensembles. This particular one is in outstanding condition. It has the high D key as well as the high E key. There are no cracks, repaired or otherwise. There is practically no wear on the keys-this instrument was clearly taken good care of. Pads and action are excellent, and this bassoon is ready to play without additional adjustment.
