This is a VERY NICE Fox Renard Model 222 semi-professional bassoon with the high D key. Fox is the best American maker of bassoons and oboes, and in my opinion, the _only_ bassoon that an intermediate player should consider buying. Fox's manufacturing is excellent. Intonation is very good, action feels good, and these bassoons sound good enough to play in a youth, civic, or college orchestra. This particular one is in very good condition. There are no cracks, repaired or otherwise. There are a few minor blemishes here and there, and there is some minor wear on the keys, but nothing too significant. Pads and action feel very good, all the joints seal well. This horn has just been gone over by my tech and is ready to play right out of the box! Pics tell the rest of the story!
