Synopsis
Evelyn Couch, a dissatisfied housewife becomes friends with an old woman, Ninny Threadgoode, while visiting her mother-in-law at a nursing home. The Whistle Stop Café become a haven for the poor, colored people, and abused women like Ruth herself. Inspired by stories of Ruth and Idgie facing off against the Ku Klux Klan and the local sheriff, Evelyn finds herself making empowering changes in her own life. In 1991 Fannie Flagg's beloved bestseller was made into a film, FRIED GREEN TOMATOES, starring Kathy Bates and Jessica Tandy.

This auction is for a lightly-used copy of Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe by Fannie Flagg, read by the author.  The audiobook 2 cassette set is in near perfect condition and comes from a smoke-free environment.  The cardboard sleeve does show some wear, but the tapes are in excellent condition.  This version is abridged.
