I give it 4 stars because it's not quiet in full or normal mode. It could be smaller and it will be great to have more than one color option That said it works great ! After running for the first 3 days it removed 6 buckets of water from the basement air. My basement is a totally different place. No more bad smell, it feels dry and a more "airy"

Both the units I bought are having problems operating. They both keep going to Fault Code EC. EC = "if the display code reads "EC", check the following operating conditions. Outlet Voltage should be 115V+/-10% and the surrounding temperature should be within the range of 41degrees F to 96 degrees F,. Unplug the unit and plug it in again under normal operating conditions. If the "EC" code persists, contact your Authorized Frigidaire Service Center." The units are plugged into 2 different outlets/breakers and the room temperature is constant at 75 degrees F. Not happy on this $641 purchase.

It has a unique feature which places it above the rest...it keeps its settings in spite of power failure. Besides being an excellent safeguard for seasonal homes, this means it can also be placed on a house timer. It is about as quiet or noisy as a window air conditioner. It is easy to operate even without reading the instructions. It hooks up to a garden hose for endless drainage. The caster wheels work well. It does its job well.

We have only had this dehumidifier for about two weeks, but are very happy with it so far. We use it in a basement which is not air conditioned and is half underground, so in the summer we definitely have problems with humidity in that area. This unit went right to work and has been removing gallons of water every day. We had read reviews that said it was noisy, but it is quieter than our old one! It puts out a constant stream of warm, dry air. Would be nice if it came in a dark brown color, but it works well so we will deal with the white!

This machine is well made and really removes the moisture kwikly. The main negative is the high pitched noise that the compressor makes when it is on. I purchased this for my living room and sometimes the noise gets in the way of watching tv or having a converstation. I also noticed that the humidity level on the readout is 10% or so above the actual level. This was easy to solve by just raising the desired level 10% above the desired humidity level. This dehumifier is much faster at removing humidity than my 9 year old dehumidifier but is also more noisey.
