This is a very beautiful and Decorative rug woven by Afghan tribe, this rug is woven with very goods quality & handspun wool with vagetable dyes, The design has been taken from cauccasian rug.

FRONTIER CARPETS
The Afghan immigrants to Peshawar in Pakistan weave the Frontier carpets. During the period of uncertainty in Afghanistan, a large number of Afghans immigrated to neighbouring countries like Iran and Pakistan. They mainly went into carpet production and weaving carpets. The carpets from the borders of Afghanistan & Pakistan are known as Frontier rugs or some times known as “Khyber Pass” and are woven with hand-spun wool, with vegetable dyes. The recent productions of carpets from there have Persian designs. They are very well made and hardwearing, with beautiful colouring. The pattern of this carpet has been taken from Ziegler, Mahal & Caucasian carpets.
There is nothing more guaranteed to add a touch of warmth and luxury to your home than an oriental carpet.
