The TwinStar family of optical instruments and accessories is made by one of the largest "private label" optical component fabricators in the world. In fact, this tripod was manufactured in the very same factory that makes optical products for Bushne , Tasc , Knus and many other name brands. While this is nearly the same instrument you may see in a catalogue for hundreds of dollars, by developing the Twinstar brand, the factory is able to sell the same product to us for much, much less. This tripod is brand new and has never been removed from the original factory packaging.
Specificallly designed for use with our 80mm Telescope: This tripod was specially designed to be used with our 80mm Refractor Telescope but also works great with most cameras. Normally, our 80mm Refractors come with a portable table top tripod. The portable tripod is great for astronomers and nature lovers who are always on the go, but it can also limit your ability to use the telescope around your yard or in the field. That is why we are offering this full size tripod. This tripod is fully adustable from 29.5 inches all the way up to 46.5 inches. No matter what your height, this tripod will allow you to use your 80mm Refractor or camera with ease. It's high grade aluminum construction makes it incredibly sturdy and very lightweight. It includes a removeable accessory tray to hold all your accessories. The 1/4"-20 (1/4 inch diameter, 20 threads per inch) mounting bolt screws right into your 80mm Telescope or Camera.

If your tripod is damaged in shipment, we will take care of any claims with the carrier, it is not your problem, it's ours. Your replacement parts will ship right away, you won't have to wade through the lengthy insurance claims process. That's our promise. Please notify us within 30 days after you receive the tripod to tell us about any damaged, defective or non-working parts and we will take care of it for you. We do not accept returns of telescopes and accessories that are in working condition.
