Culture:
Tanto began some time in the Heian Period but was much more of a functional weapon. The word "tan" in "tan-to" is an adjective meaning "short" (with a connotation of very short); "to" is a noun meaning "katana". Therefore, "tanto" is a type of edged weapon with a very short blade of usually less than one shaku (i.e., 30.3 cm) from machi to kissaki. A tanto may or may not have a tsuba when it is properly mounted, but such is irrelevant because as long as the blade is very short (less than one shaku), it is called a "tanto".

For a return,
prior RMA authorization number must be obtained before returning.
Returns without RMA authorization number will be rejected and send
back to you. Returns must be in original packaging with print out
of the RMA# on outside of the box, and must be received within 10
business days from the RMA# issuing day. After 10 business days, we
will reject the returned package.
Replacement will be made upon receipt and inspect of
the returned item.
We do not accept return or refund for any
physical damaged item or damaged by misuse.
We are not responsible for return Shipping & insurance

| Shipping Damage |
We only help buyer
to file damage or lost claim with shipping carrier company if

In extreme circumstances, if your item
is lost or damaged by FedEx or Post Office, please notify us through
email by the next business day following receipt of the damaged item.
Email the damaged item's picture is required. Please be
sure to use all the original shipping material to pack the item as
same as you received. Fedex will go to pick up the damaged item for damage
inspection. It will take about 3-4 weeks to close the claim.
We will ship you a brandnew item or repaired item ONLY if shipping
carrier company paid the damage or lost. |
