G&L ASAT Special Deluxe Clear Blue

The G&L ASAT Special is a modern take on the classic design of the original ASAT. Foregoing the vintage style “ashtray” bridge for a high mass G&L bridge and replacing the G&L MFD single coils with MFD High Output single coils, the G&L ASAT Special was designed to give more output, more dirt, and more grit. This G&L ASAT Special Deluxe features a mahogany body capped with a flame maple top finished in Clear Blue and a #2 hard rock maple neck topped with a rosewood fingerboard. The dogear pickups have cream covers and the headstock is capped with G&L non-locking tuners. The G&L ASAT Special Deluxe is extremely versatile and playable, perfect for rock, blues, jazz, and country.

The G&L ASAT Special Deluxe is a perfect guitar for any style of music. The MFD High Output pickups are clear and dynamic with extra grind, just like an old P90. The bridge position is gritty and precise with exceptional dynamic response and articulation. When overdriven the tone is meaty and edgy while still retaining clarity. The neck pickup is big and round with subdued highs and strong midrange, perfect for big sounding leads or crunchy rhythms. The G&L ASAT Special Deluxe features a mahogany body for deep, resonant tone and the maple top adds a little shine on the top end. The #2 neck is a perfect vintage “C” shape and fits the hand like a glove. There is not much that the G&L ASAT Special Deluxe can’t do, from rock to blues and beyond this guitar is a perfect addition to any collection.
