You are bidding on a custom-ordered G&L L-1505 5-String Lefty Bass that features a Swamp Ash body, Premium Flame Maple top, Figured Maple fingerboard with some Birdseye and a high-gloss Premier Clear Red finish with matching colored headstock. We are an authorized G&L dealer, and are overstocked with left-hand models. This model is being closed out because its upgrade features normally add almost $850 to the base minimum advertised price. The Hard Rock Maple neck comes with a 12" radius Rosewood fingerboard, and is firmly connected to the body with six screws. The L-1505 comes equipped with a single G&L Magnetic Field Design humbucker pickup along with G&L active/passive electronics. Controls include a series/parallel mini toggle, preamp control mini-toggle (off/on), knobs for Volume, Treble boost/cut, and a Bass boost/cut. Other features: G&L Ultralite tuners with aluminum tapered string posts; patented "Saddle Lock" bridge. The plush lined Tolex case features the G&L logo on a badge under the case handle. You will not find a better price on a new, unplayed USA-made G&L L-1505. This particular model normally has a minimum advertised price of $1952.50, reflecting upgrades of a Premium Flame Top (add $400), Premier Finish (add $75), Color-matched headstock (add $115), and optional deluxe Tolex case (add $75). G&L was founded in 1980 by famous Leo Fender and longtime partner George Fullerton. USA instruments are largely hand-built at the original Fender plant (which was never part of the Fender sale to CBS in the 1960s). Many G&L bass owners swear the build and tone is superior to what Fender produces, and compare their instruments favorably with those made by Music Man (Leo's second company after Fender) Since this is a close-out item, it cannot be returned, but full warranty support will be provided. Also, for geographic areas that do not qualify for free shipping, any surcharge cost above the actual shipping cost will be refunded to the buyer.
