 Up for auction is this absolutely mint looking and working GARRARD 1000 4 speed automatic turntable. This turntable was in a portable "suitcase style" case made by MASTERWORK. I wanted this turntable to be a table top model so I had my wood working friend take the platter base and modify it into a beautiful mahagony solid wood cabinet. Everything seems to work out well until I hooked it up to my stereo. It seems that the sound needed to be amplified by the amp board (see pics). I did ground the turntable to my stereo and did get sound but had to turn the volume up a lot. It does have a beautiful tone arm with mint working cartridge and needle. I will include the matching 45 adapter with clip mount that can be attached to the back. I am also including the amp board that can be re-attached and possibly modified in the inner cabinet. The amp plate will be included as well but the pot knobs are lost. This fine turntable can modified into another cabinet setting. Anyway my goof up could be your grand piece of audio equipment. There is no dust cover made for this model. Your questions are welcome. This is a vintage working mint condition turntable being offered up in very nice as is condition for remodification or parts.
