The GTAx 550 uses an LCD display panel to deliver a wealth of information about the detector as well as the target detected. The target ID and depth measuring portion of the display is divided into 24 segments that allow for very accurate identification and depth read-outs in .5" increments. The display also reports battery condition, mode of operation, and discrimination settings.
The GTAx 550, although a mid-priced detector, has many features found only on top-of-the-line detectors. This makes it a good choice for the novice as well as the experienced treasure hunter.
