GERMAN BILLY Record 8.8 CAMERA AGFA JGESTAR Art Deco c. 1938

Up for your consideration is this fabulous vintage German Billy-Record Camera with an AGFA Anastigmat JGESTAR f8.8 Lens. With many Art Deco style features, the Camera is circa 1938.

Closed, the Camera measures 3 inches by 6 inches and is about 1-3/8 inches thick. It weighs just a bit over 1 pound. It has raised letters on the front that read BILLY-RECORD and FABRIQUE EN ALLEMAGNE (Made in Germany).

Wear is average on this vintage Camera. The metal on the exterior shows some worn areas and there is a slight amount of Greenish tarnish on the clasp that opens the Film compartment. The bellows are in great shape with no visible tears or holes. The shutter works fine. There is a shutter cable (shown in the last picture) that works, but it is quite worn and missing the flat piece on the end. The Camera is untested, but mechanically seems in above average condition, with a good to very good rating for its physical condition (see pictures above).

This is a great vintage Camera. It would make a fantastic Holiday Gift for any vintage Camera enthusiast, or be a fabulous addition to any Camera collection!
