I am listing a group of 70's era German vases today. This auction is for a ceramic vase by Carstens of West Germany.  Please note thet I am listing another of the same shape but different color. The vase has an beautiful red gloss and decor glaze with interesting incised lines.It is signed on the bottom M.16/12 but unlioke its blue twin I am listing this week it has no sticker.  The piece is in excellent condition. It measures  just shy of 4 3/4 inches tall..  This piece compares in quality with Bodo Manns for Bay ,Scheurich, Ceramano, Romhild, Schaffenacker, U Keramik, Roth, Jopeko, and Jasba. Reminds me of the mid century retro modern pottery imported by Raymor from Italy such as Fantoni, Gambone and Bitossi.
