KOREAN GLASS FISHING FLOAT W/HARD TO FIND MARK This is a Korean 3-piece mold glass fishing float that I personally beachcombed along the coast of the Aleutians in Alaska. It spent lots of time drifting out in the Bering Sea after detaching from its fishing net. Often these floats can spend years & years adrift until a good wind blows them onto the beach!! I was lucky enough to find this unique treasure!!
This float is about 3.3" in diameter & is a beautiful blue color. It bears the + sign & a I mark below it on the sides & has marks on the opposite side that resemble I's. The seal button has slight chipping. Chipping is common for floats that have actually been used at sea then tossed onto the beach. This float also has a great dappled appearance from being blown in a wooden mold. There are no cracks or dings, nor any damage that takes away from the beauty of the float. This is a harder-to-find 3-piece mold float & a nice addition to a collection! :)
