Junior flashlight: WWII era?  

This item is a cute little "junior" flashlight.  It is 3" long.  Dark "army green" color plastic shaft & handle.  Metal end says "GI Jr Micro-Lite".   Takes 1 - AA battery.  I've been told it is WWII vintage, but was unable to find out anything more on it.

Condition:  Some wear to metal
