Item specifics
Brand: Gibson
For your consideration a Gibson Western Classic J-200, one of very few that were made with Brazilian Rosewood. I am told only a handful of these were made prior to 2003 when Gibson stopped using Brazilian on any guitars. Gibson has verified this guitar to be brazilian, I have the documentation from Gibson to confirm. Based on the original built in 1937 for cowboy star Ray Whitley.

This one is and has always been, my #1 acoustic. Its the only guitar I own that I stored in its case. I have compared this guitar against my 60's Brazilian D-35 and Johnny Cash's Brazilian Guild and it is a clear winner in the test. Guitars like these are what collectors buy as an investment because they are destined to sky rocket in price and already have more than tripled in value. The current version of this guitar without Brazilian sells for over $7,000.

The guitar is in excellent condition as you can see from the pics, I rarely played it because I was always afraid of scratching it.  If you would like higher res pics, I have them. Original Historic case. Please no reserve questions I do not want to end this auction early, I need to let this auction run its term to guarantee my #1 brings all the money it can.

I reserve the right to end this listing early.

Hello,

Thanks for the photos.  I checked with our product specialist in Montana, and they have indeed confirmed that this model is also Brazilian Rosewood back and sides.
Apparently, our product specialist in Montana had additional information filed on this guitar.  Thank you for the inquiry.
