I once set one of my paintings outside in the sun and then went inside and looked at it out of my window. I thought it matched the landscape around it perfectly. One gallery owner that represents my paintings described them as an impressionist approach with brushstrokes and subject matter, but with bold, vibrantly modern colors. Some people may criticize my colors, but I agree with Monet's attitude: 'I've caught this magical landscape and it's the enchantment of it that I'm so keen to render.
