For those of you who are Globe Wernicke/Macey stack barrister legal bookcase collectors, restorers, investors and fans these are EXACTLY what you need to finish detailing your bookcase desk units. This auction is for 2 (two) matching or one pair of bookcase desk tract WOODEN STOP assemblies. I have shown the use of the stops in the photo with installed tracts in the unit. The bearing assemblies I sell on ebay go thru the front of the tract and the wooden stops go at the very rear of the tract (up against the back of the unit) to act as the door stop. The size of my stops are identical and are specific to each tract or size unit (D,C,G,H and 41 inch units). I have all sizes on hand. The finish looks like new wood but can be aged with a little walnut stain if you like. Original stops are on the left in the first photo for comparison. They come with 4 attaching correct brads but there were several styles of those used and we include one of the more common styles. The stop is important to prevent over opening of the door when pushing back the door and causing damage to the rear panel, scissors assemblies and it holds the rear of the tract in place for smooth operation of the door. Without the stops the doors jams as it moves backwards, as the tracts tend to expand outward towards the rear if not fixed down. The pieces are precision cut and perfectly dimensional formed. We have all door stops for all production Globe Wernicke units. People often use the Globe Wernicke hardware to convert their Macey units when the irreplaceable door tract parts are missing on those as well. The installation just takes a few minutes and appears completely authentic when installed (see last photo on the left).


 I am also offering on eBay at this time for the Globe Wernicke and Macey stack sectional units the following accurate to original parts: Factory Labels, Globe Wernicke 1915 catalogue price list, door closure mechanisms, authentic knobs, side bands, roller bearing assemblies, beveled plate glass door windows, antique flat wavy window glass, door tracts, hook and square door hinges, Globe Wernicke commercial stack hardware and step back end caps, desk legs and mounting hardware.
