Glow in the dark fret markers are a great and inexpensive alternative to costly led's (light emitting diodes). They are self-adhesive and do not require any  tape , glue, etc..   Barring flat frets or exessive fretware the front  markers are so thin that should not even feel them. The side markers may be felt by close handed players. There is a thin protective plastic coating on them that helps resist sweat, dirt, grime, almost anything. On a full charge (just expose them to direct light, the brighter the better, for a minute or two) they are visible in total darkness for 6+ hours. With infinite recharging capability.
