One in a million vintage 1970s Indian silk goddess maxi dress. Absolutely stunning dress. Plunging neckline with fitted torso and loose sleeves. Floaty long skirt – one lined layer with additional sheer strips of silk at the front and back. Print is delicate flowers in soft purple and fresh mint green. Trimmed in purple silk ribbon. Lined in solid purple silk. Snaps up back plus back zip. Matching waist tie. Wow.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition, especially considering the delicate fabric. Has a few thin pulls & nicks in the outer sheer panel of silk, plus a couple of little holes right down the bottom where the fabric meets the ribbon trim – but not noticeable at all. A couple of very small spot marks on one sleeve but otherwise excellent. Might benefit from a dry clean, but is overall great and could easily be worn now.
Size: Approx modern size XS – S / Australian 8 – perhaps 10, but please check measurements.
Measurements: (flat across, double bust/waist) Underarm to underarm 40cm; shoulder to shoulder 39cm; waist 34cm; length 146cm. 1 inch = about 2.5cm.
Fabric: Pure silk with silk lining, not sheer, with stretch but not at the waist.
Label: 'House of Arts, India'.
