I purchased these old unused/unsold plastic components from a defunct factory in Pennsylvania.  They were originally sold in dime stores in the 1950s and 1960s...I think this particular piece was once used as a barrette as well as a pin.

The pin is made of an early plastic called cellulose acetate, which is made from wood pulp, and is an

unused/never sold, vintage component just out of storage.    Because this is an unused stored piece, it is in excellent condition and DOES NOT look OLD even though it is.
