GORGEOUS ANTIQUE DUTCH STERLING SILVER REPOUSSE TEA SET

AMAZING 3 PIECE SET! 925 SILVER MARK

This amazing Sterling tea set belonged to my grandmother.

The Repousse design has two different pastoral scenes:

• On one side a man and his dog herd sheep on a seaside pasture
• On the other side a boy draws water from a well under the watchful eye of his mother as a cow drinks from a trough

Truly Stunning!

There are four hallmarks:

• A large patterned box (presumably a maker's mark)
• A lion in a shield with an I in the corner and a key abutting the shield (The lion shield w/ I indicates 925 silver, the key indicates that the set was made for export)
• A cartouche with FW1 (also presumably a maker's mark)
• N2 (a date mark--according to my research I believe this indicates that it was made in 1923)

The set is in excellent condition. There is one small dent on the teapot, but it's hard to see given the repousse work.

The teapot is approx. 5" high, 9" wide, and 5 1/2" deep. The sugar bowl is approx. 3 1/2" high, 5 1/2" wide, and 4" deep. The creamer is approx. 3 1/2" high, 5" wide, and 3 1/2" deep.
