ABOUT THE ARTIST
My name is Linda Rutter and I am the reborn artist behind Baby Classique Nursery. I have been a porcelain doll artist for over 20 years, and also a reborn doll artist for around 5 years. In the 20 years of dollmaking, I have entered many doll shows around Australia, as well as overseas winning many top awards for my dolls. In 2004 I posted my doll to America to enter the I.F.D.M Bells Doll Show and was awarded the Golden Bell award for my antique reproduction doll. This is the most prestigious award this company bestows. This was the proudest moment of my doll career and I had worked very hard over the years to achieve this goal, and earn the title “International Award Winning Doll Artist”. I source the best supplies from around the world and do not compromise on quality. Every baby that is reborn from my nursery has been lovingly created and many hours is dedicated to producing a beautiful baby for collectors to enjoy! I hope you enjoy Holly, as much as I enjoyed creating her.
Precious baby Holly started out as “Luca” by Elly Knoops. This sculpt is so amazingly real and one of the best I have worked with. Baby Holly is so realistic not only to look at but to hold her too. She is weighted in all of the right places and she lays so beautifully in your arms, your mothering instincts just kick right in and you cannot help but rock her gently back and forward. Holly has hand rooted hair, using a fine kid Australian Mohair. She has beautiful Blue Newborn Eyes and lovely dark eyelashes. She has a lovely realistic doe suede body filled with fine pellets and fiberfill. You will fall in love with this darling baby girl.
Baby Holly and Baby Katie started out with there warm soapy bath so that they was clean and fresh with no impurities on their skin. They were then meticulously hand painted layer upon layer with a unique blend of paints that I hand mixed just for them. Each vinyl kit is different so each and every baby needs their own technique for achieving an individual look.
This auction also includes Baby Katie, this is also a Luca” mould kit. Just the smaller version. This is a retired edition, and no longer available. Baby Katie has hand painted hair, beautiful brown eyes, and is dressed in a gorgeous handmade crocheted outfit. She was an absolute delight to reborn, and is just as lovely as her big sister. She has had many layers of Genesis Heat Set paints, giving her that realistic baby look.
Both Holly and Katie are getting ready for xmas, they are having there photo’s taken for the family album. Holly will come to her new family with her own xmas present, so she can open it with you on xmas day. I have also included a lovely gift for the new family, as a celebration of their new arrivals. Both girls are very excited about being adopted into a new family together. This will be their “First Christmas” and they are so looking forward to spending it with there new family!
Katies tiny head has been hand painted and given tiny stork marks, her hairline has been painted with wispy fine brush strokes. Many hours go into hand painting her hair and each layer of paint has been slightly darkened giving it a very realistic look. The results are amazing. Katies hair just looks so real, a very soft look on such a sweet baby girl!
Babies bodies are custom made for them so they can pose just like real babies, they are then weighted appropriately in all of the right places so they snuggle right into your arms. These babies are jointed and can be posed in several newborn positions making them very realistic.
“A detailed look at what makes these baby’s so special” Beautiful true to life skin tones using Genesis Heat Set Paints, these paints are permanent and will last a life time. Detailed painting with attention to the finer aspects of creating a newborn look, even with hand painted feet and toenails, giving baby that realistic touch. Layer after layer is hand painted and then heat set until I am happy with the results. My babies are then given a few weeks to cure in my nursery before they are put up for adoption.
These beautiful baby’s has been a pleasure to work with and a true labour of love. I am hoping to adopt “Holly and Katie” into a loving family, where they will be loved and adored. Baby Classique’s baby pictures are taken in natural daylight, as a result, their skin tone may appear lighter or darker depending on lighting. Babies skin tone may appear lighter or darker on different monitors. No photos have been enhanced in anyway and I have tried to take as many close up and clear photos as possible. I am an artist and not a photographer but do try my best with photos. Babies weight and measurements are an approximate guide only and all items not stated in babies take home package remain the property of “Baby Classique”. These are used as part of our props here in our nursery.

Hand Made Booties Beautiful baby Layette consisting of Onsie, Lovely red jacket/top and matching xmas headband. A lovely baby short romper, with Baby’s First Xmas Hat, matching bib and baby booties. She also comes with her baby blanket for her journey home, her little xmas bear, and her xmas present to open on xmas day. Baby Katie comes dressed in her lovely Hand crocheted outfit, with her baby nappy and her very own xmas present for xmas day. Babies adoption certificate! Custom made packaging made to the right specifications to ensure she is safe on her long journey home. All items not mentioned remain the property of Baby Classique and are used as props
