You will be bidding on some of the finest cooking utensils in the country. They are made by William Chappelow of the Tryyn Gallery in Guatay, California whose work is included in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institution. Each is hand shaped with attention paid to 'Hand Feel' and balance. All have a sumptuous glossy food safe carnuba wax finish to show off wood color and grain configuration. They are wonderful to look at and fun to use. Each comes with a brochure detailing the 35 year history of the Tryyn Gallery. This auction is for a very large Cauldron Spoon in highly figured American Black Walnut. This would be a magnificent centerpiece spoon around which to build a utensil collection of note. The burled figure on the back of the bowl shimmers as it refracts the light and the capacity is at least a quart. The dimensions are 23"(L) x 6 & 1/2"(Dia) x 3 & 1/4"(Depth). The function is 'Sliced Hot Dogs Julienne with Spam and Turnips Stew Dipper'. A THANK YOU GIFT IS INCLUDED WITH EACH PURCHASE, THE SIZE OF WHICH DEPENDS ON THE SIZE OF YOUR PURCHASE OR COMBINED PURCHASES. Click Here. Double your traffic. Get Vendio Gallery - Now FREE! |
