I made this Graydog "Big Puppy" crochet hook out of
Tambootie, Spirostachys africanus, an exotic hardwood from Africa with rich warm brown color and a very pleasing natural fragrance.
Into the crown of the crochet hook, I turned in place Three captured and free turning "Jingle Rings".
This Graydog crochet hook is a size S or 19 mm and is about eight and three quarters inches long.
I started making crochet hooks over thirty years ago when I bought my first lathe. A crochet hook was one of the first things I turned and I've been making them ever since.
